Walking

We finally managed to put together some tape of Sam walking around. He does a lot better when he isn't distracted by the camera, making it all the way through several rooms in fact. I'd say he walks maybe 60% of the time now...

Basketti

Sam loves to eat spaghetti...he also loves to rub it all over himself. He's got a noodle sticking out of his nose like a very long booger. :)



It also makes a good hair treatment.



There is nothing else that can be done about a basketti boy.

Car Seats

Sam moved up to a big boy car seat today, he seems to like it just fine. It probably helps that it has MUCH more padding! We went to Babies R' Us yesterday afternoon to pick it out. Just like with the stroller I lined up the top candidates and "let Sam pick" the one. (That means I strapped him into each and jiggered all the straps and knobs and pushed on the padding.) I expect height is going to be an issue so I tried to get a bigger one that will hopefully last longer. While we were there, ever the pusher, Sam helped Mommy push the cart to the checkout lane. Everyone thought that was too funny and he didn't like that he couldn't help push it to the car too.


Yesterday he really started to try walking more and seems to be getting more confident. He's got a slightly busted lip and bruised knees from the tumbles he's been taking but he doesn't cry and just keeps going. With all of the changes he's making I think I'm going to be the new crybaby around here. Everything new he does is precious but it is SO hard to see your baby becoming a little boy. Sniff, sniff.

When push comes to shove....

Sam loves to push things around the apartment. Chairs, trays, his car and especially Caspian's food container. I just noticed the other day that the floor is taking a bit of a beating....

The Weekend in Pictures

Our bathroom light isn't working, so we've been taking showers, etc. in the near dark! Sam thinks the candles are fascinating. (Don't worry, this candle is only where he can reach it for the picture. I moved it right after...) The electrician is supposed to come today, thank goodness. I burned a hole in one of the shelves last night. Oops!


This is the best I have been able to do for walking shots. Crawling/cruising is still his main mode of transportation.



We LOVE to go to the zoo. If it's a nice day...we're there. Saturday was Sam's first time to ride the carousel. He liked it, except for when Daddy moved him to an animal that actually moved up and down!


Every time we're there Mommy has to see her Babirusas, Hadiah and Remley. Hadiah is the baby and pretty soon they'll send her to another zoo. So sad. If you've seen my pictures on Facebook I've explained my obsession with them so I'll skip it here.


Sam has started to learn that he gets a hearty "Good Job!" when he puts his blocks back in the box. Now EVERYTHING goes in the box...even Sam!
